Cultural & Historical
Italy beyond monuments
Bella Ciao Travels designs culturally immersive journeys that go far beyond standard sightseeing. We connect travellers with Italy’s layered history through private guides, expert storytellers, and carefully curated access to museums, archaeological sites, and cultural landmarks. Depending on the itinerary, experiences may include private archaeological tours, after-hours museum visits, art historians, and walking journeys through historic centres where every street becomes a story.

Every itinerary is bespoke. This sample illustrates the rhythm and quality of what we design.
Day 1

Private visit to the Capitoline Museums — one of the world oldest public collections, now practically yours.
Welcome dinner in a converted palazzo cellar; your guide frames the weeks ahead over Frascati wine.
Day 2
Early morning Forum Romanum walk before tourist crowds arrive. The silence is extraordinary.
Vatican Museums after-hours session — Sistine Chapel without the crowds, guided by a papal art scholar.
Wander Trastevere freely. Dinner at a trattoria where the neighbourhood regulars eat.
Day 3
Travel to Pompeii. Private archaeologist leads you through the excavations with access to newly uncovered sections.
Herculaneum — smaller, better preserved, and almost always quieter than its famous neighbour.
Return to Naples. Dinner overlooking the bay, the distant shadow of Vesuvius on the horizon.
Day 4
Train to Florence. Check in and walk immediately to the Accademia — your guide explains Michelangelo's intentions with the David.
