Sicily

Sicily is a land where history, culture, and nature have shaped one of the richest identities in the Mediterranean. As Italy’s largest island, located at the crossroads between Europe and Africa, Sicily has always been a meeting point of civilisations — a place where East and West have left visible traces in every city, village, and landscape.

Its roots go back to the ancient peoples of the Sicani, Siculi, and Elimi, before becoming one of the most important centres of the Greek world. Today, archaeological sites such as the Valley of the Temples, the Segesta Temple, and the ancient theatres of Taormina and Syracuse still tell the story of this extraordinary heritage.

Geographically, the island offers incredible diversity: volcanic landscapes dominated by Mount Etna, crystal-clear coastlines, hidden beaches, fishing villages, salt flats, and fertile countryside filled with citrus groves, olive trees, and vineyards.
